Set up the container that owns your ad account, Page, and pixel
A business portfolio (formerly “Business Manager”) is Meta’s container for business assets. Your ad account, Facebook Page, and pixel all belong to it, and it’s what Bidder connects to. It’s free and takes a few minutes.
1
Go to Meta Business Suite
Open business.facebook.com and log in with your personal Facebook profile. (The profile is just the key to the door — customers never see it.)
2
Create the portfolio
Click the dropdown below Home in the top-left corner and choose Create a business portfolio.
The account dropdown in Meta Business Suite — 'Create a business portfolio' sits at the bottom.
3
Name it
Use your public business name (no special characters). This is the name Bidder will show when your accounts connect.
The create dialog: portfolio name, your name, and a business email.
4
Add your business details
Enter your first and last name plus a business email. Meta emails a confirmation link to it — click it to finish. The email isn’t visible to customers.
You get full control of the new portfolio automatically, which is exactly the access level needed to connect Bidder later.
Limit of 2: one person can personally create up to two business portfolios (no limit on how many you can belong to).
One home per asset: a Page or ad account can belong to only one portfolio. If your Page already lives in another portfolio, either work in that one or move the asset.
Verification: Meta sometimes asks new portfolios to verify the organization behind them before unlocking every advertising feature. Track any requirements in Business Support Home, or under Settings → Business portfolio info:
Business Settings → Business portfolio info — where the portfolio's details and verification status live.
