# Create a Facebook Page

> The identity your ads run under

Every Meta ad runs *as* a Facebook Page — the Page's name and avatar are what people see above your ad. Bidder needs at least one Page it's allowed to use.

## Create the Page

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Pages section">
    On [facebook.com](https://www.facebook.com), open **Pages** in the left menu and click **Create Page** (on mobile: Menu → Pages → Create → **Professional**).

    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name and category">
    Use your public brand name and the closest category. You can add a short bio now or later.

    <Frame caption="The Create a Page form with the live preview panel.">

    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in the basics">
    Add contact info, a profile photo (your logo) and a cover image. A bare Page looks untrustworthy under an ad — spend the five minutes.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Connect it to your business portfolio

The Page must be reachable from the portfolio that owns your ad account:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add the Page to the portfolio">
    In [Business Settings](https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings) → **Accounts → Pages** → **Add** → *Add a Page you own*. (Requires full control of the portfolio, and the Page must not belong to another portfolio.)

    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Grant access to people">
    Under **Users → People**, select the person who will connect Bidder and assign the Page with **full control** or task-based access. Meta's new Page model has no "admin/editor roles" — it's full control vs. partial access.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Good to know

* When you click **Continue with Facebook** in the app, Meta's dialog asks which Pages to share — **tick this Page**, or Bidder won't be able to run ads as it.
* During setup Bidder also asks about Instagram: if you connect a real Instagram account your ads use your handle; if not, Meta shows a Page-backed stand-in derived from this Page — functional, just less brand presence.
